- July 2010 -
Susie Gibbs, Owner
of Juniper Moon Farm visited
along with friends Amy, Jenny and Erin and took 456,233 photographs.
(Ok, maybe it was less) We had a wonderful time and met some great people.
Carole and I really enjoyed their company. Hoping to go down to Palmyra,
VA and see the Juniper Moon operations this fall.

Oak 'Corky' is purchased by Ellen Gatling of Nelson County, VA
- May 2010 - The
Ladyslippers bloom again for Mother's Day, and Camryn Pivarnik comes
to visit from Colorado, bringing her parents, Patrick and Danielle,
along with her

Tulip Hill Redbud goes off to her new home with the Mary Beth
Klinger to become a Pasture Princess and reigning royalty over her two
horse companions.
- September 2009
- Tulip Hill Ladyslipper goes off to live at Three Chimneys
Farm in Warrenton, VA.
- June 2009 -
Tired of small herd - bought the Dixie Meadows herd and added it to
our own - 8 Jennies in all - Chrysanthemum, Nandina, Snowdrop, Ginger,
Buttercup, Daisy, Primrose, & Trillium.
- December, 2007:
All 2007 foals sold to one family Reduced herd to five Jennies and promoted
Hemi to Senior herd sire.
- January 2006.
Tulip Hill Willow has joined the Shifflett family near Charlottesville,
VA.
- January 2006.
Tulip Hill Sequoia has joined the Hormel family near Charlottesville,
VA.
- December 2005.
Tulip Hill Franklinia has joined the Reese family near Richmond,
VA.
- November 2005.
Maggie (our nearly 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier) and
Spooky (our 17+ year old cat) departed for the Rainbow Bridge.
Maggie came to live with Carole at 5 weeks of age at about the same
time as Spooky, who was about a year old. Both enjoyed happy, carefree
lives filled with adventure and loving care and attention for all their
long years. They are buried together on the hill behind our house in
a tiny garden filled with daffodils and wildflowers.

Dan the draft mule has been donated to Astride
with Pride, a certified therapeutic riding center in Bedford, VA.
He is getting glowing reports and appears to be enjoying his new job.

Little John, Emma's full brother, has joined our herd.
- January 2005.
Tulip Hill Ashley has joined the Akers family in Fredericksburg,
VA.
- December 23,
2004. Tulip Hill Locust has joined Rafe and Maggie Nichols
at Lone Star Farm in Hamilton, VA.
- October 11,
2004. Tulip Hill Azalea and Tulip Hill Bluebelle have
joined the Smets family of Amissville, VA.
- February, 2004.
Tulip Hill Acorn ("Oakie") has joined the Walkowe's
at their Silverbrook Farm in North Carolina to serve as a companion
to Arab horse Huckleberry and farm pet. His new owners write, "Just
to let you know, Oakie and Huckleberry are getting along wonderfully.
They seem to enjoy each others company. We have had a lot of people
come over to look at him and he shows nothing but good manners with
children and adults alike."
- December, 2003.
Horizon View Casper was sold to the Joslins of Mineral, VA
as a family pet and a companion to their Appaloosa mare.
- July, 2003.
Tulip Hill Lily has joined J. Kelso's herd in Rappahannock
County, VA. Jane says, "Lily is wonderful! She has free run of
the property, and comes down to the house each morning with the dogs
to get a treat. Everyone loves her, she is so sweet!"
- June, 2003.
Tulip Hill Dogwood joins the Hiner family of Lyndhurst VA.
The Hiners write, "We are really enjoying Woody!"
- June 3, 2001.
The search for a herd sire has ended! Dillard's Little
Casper joined our herd on June 2, 2001. This nice young jack has
a sweet personality, great conformation, and to top it all off, lots
of spots on himself and in his pedigree!
- May 15, 2001.
Tulip Hill Walnut (out of Violet) is sold as a pet and companion
to race and hunt horses in Upperville, Virginia.
- May 7, 1999.
Tulip Hill Ladyslipper (our first foal!) arrives.
- April 1999.
Tulip Hill Violet and Tulip Hill Lily--our first jennets--arrive
to form the start of our miniature donkey breeding herd.
