We had been watching Buttons very closely the last few days, as she was making it clear that her foal was soon to arrive. We were checking Donkey TV from 2:30 a.m on September 6, 2006. At about 5:30 a.m., we saw Buttons lying down and clearly having a contraction. We rushed up to the barn and were there when Glory was born at 5:49 a.m. It was an absolutely textbook-perfect delivery. Glory arrived one week shy of 13 months since Buttons and Casper had their romantic liaison.

This gorgeous little girl is very refined, with a lovely small head. She's mostly white with a few spots. We love how her ears are both dark. She is probably one of the most vigorous foals ever born here, attempting tiny leaps and bucks even before she had nursed the first time. She even tried to vocalize at just a couple of hours old. Took her no time at all to find the more-than-ample lunch counter hosted by Buttons and she is a HOG!
